The company was formerly known as Finansbank A.S. and changed its name to QNB Finansbank A.S. in January 2018. The company was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. QNB Finansbank A.S. is a subsidiary of Qatar National Bank (Q.P.S.C.).
